ETFyourself.com: Sunday Edition
A weekly summary of impactful content, from us and others
In my attempt to impersonate the late, great Johnny Cash, during December “I’ve been everywhere, man" (if you are under 35 years old, you might have to Google that).
We are loving the educational opportunities that are coming our way. Here are a couple of recent ones. Plenty more to come in the new year.
Rob on Seeking Alpha’s Investing Experts podcast
I’ll tell it you straight the way I always do: this 40 minute recording is probably the best breakdown I’ve every presented of what I really think drives investing and investment returns on modern markets. We will be posting “best cuts” from this and many of my 2023 guest appearances to the site very soon.
We sent this out recently, but here is the LINK again for your convenience.
Rob’s recent presentation on ETFs to the Money Show
Rob’s recent guest appearance with Moomoo
Here’s a LINK to my December 12 discussion with Jerry Kronenberg and Justin Zacks of Moomoo. If you are not familiar with this brokerage firm that recently entered the US market, this link may help.
Rob Isbitts on etf.com
I write multiple articles each week for this great site. This week I covered topics related to:
The lesson from Fedex's earnings miss

Quick takes from elsewhere
Job growth is dropping. This is THE stat the stock market needs to stay higher, not continue to dip. The main reason consumers have been so willing to let their credit card balances balloon is that they are still employed. I think this is a real tightrope, so to speak.
This is a link to an observation I not only agree with, but remember living through as a newbie in the investing business.
Best podcasts I listened to this week
Josh Brown and Michael Batnick welcome Dan Nathan. These 3 may not be familiar to you, but I find them to be a solid source of relevant conversation about the markets.
Jim Bianco, who I consider to be a “must follow,” joins Eric Townsend’s Macro Voices podcast. This podcast is one of the better ones around for those who want a weekly market overview, followed by an insightful interview. As is the case with the pod highlight above, when good hosts and good guests get together, it is a great listen!
Maybe we’ll even do an ETFYourself.com podcast one day. Hmmm…
