If my choices are stocks and cash, what % would I have in the stock market right now?
Market in a Minute
Markets have changed, let’s change with them
That’s a general belief of mine that led to the creation of ETFYourself.com
6 months ago. Thanks for coming along with us!
This has the makings of a “gets much worse” situation but one day doesn’t do it. Let’s see if anything remarkable occurs by the time I write to you on Thursday. For now, here’s what I mean (charts below) about traders taking over.
Below: top chart shows intermediate-term view of S&P 500, and it’s well within a tight trading range, albeit an upward-facing one. Bottom chart is just today’s price movement. Rallying 0.40% in the fading minutes of a decidedly weak day smells more like gamesmanship from the now-massive amount of day-traders and algorithmic traders that are a factor all investors must account for.
This is not 10 years ago. It is not even 3 years ago. Markets have changed, and we need to change with them. That’s why we started this service.
And also why we are making some changes to it, in response to lots of great subscriber feedback and our own assessment of how we can take the success of our first 6 months of ETFYourself.com and keep improving. More on that in a special post tomorrow.
S&P X-Ray
The S&P X-Ray tracks our latest projected trading ranges
for the S&P 500
(Updated weekly on Tuesday, as of Monday’s market close)
The ROAR Score remains at 10, which means my 2-ETF portfolio is still 10% SPY (S&P 500 ETF) and 90% BIL (1-3 month T-bill ETF).
Subscriber feedback drives ALL of this, so keep the suggestions and ideas coming!
