The market always tells us a story…we just need to listen!
1. Horrified, shocked, dismayed, concerned, but ultimately hopeful about the future. None of that has anything to do with my investment market outlook.
2. These are just some of the emotions we know we share, as we watch geopolitical events unfold and mourn loss of life that results from conflict.
3. Markets may just be waking up to how years of too-low interest rates, reckless spending, and lagging impacts of rate hikes are now kicking in.
4. Recent commentaries have discussed these market overhangs, and now multiple war fronts add to the risk. But there's something else I'm watching.
5. Very recently, it appears that liquidity in the stock and bond markets is dropping fast. Translation: if it continues, good investments can still fall hard.
Our ROAR Score remains at 10 for the fourth straight week. Our 2-ETF portfolio model is 10% SPY (S&P 500 ETF) and 90% BIL (T-bill ETF). I'll add that since last week, some potentially bullish signs were emerging. But as has been the case so many times since the start of 2022, significantly increasing stock allocations just comes with too much risk of major loss. And that's ultimately what I'm about as an investor.
